Progressive Democrats win primaries — but can they win swing states?
Political science professor Steven Ekovich argues that while progressive Democrats show growing strength in primaries — particularly in urban, reliably Democratic districts — translating that momentum into wins in competitive swing states is a much harder task. Using the Michigan Democratic Senate primary as a case study, he warns that the party's internal fragmentation could affect its chances of winning control of the US Senate.
