Violent storms batter Lithuania: uprooted trees and damaged roofs across the country

Severe storms swept across Lithuania, uprooting trees and damaging rooftops across the country. Firefighters responded to numerous call-outs; during one operation alone they removed 50 uprooted trees. Emergency responders said they could not recall such an intense period of dangerous weather.
