Webb telescope data reveals new gravitational arc candidate from the early universe
Researcher Homer Dávila Gutierrez from SKYCR.ORG has identified a previously unreported gravitational arc candidate in galaxy cluster MACS J0308.9+2645 using public James Webb Space Telescope data. The object has a photometric redshift of approximately 4.4, placing it in the early universe. The findings are available as a preprint on arXiv and are currently under peer review at Publications of the Astronomical Society of Japan.
