US Senate passes long-stalled Russia and Iran sanctions bill

The US Senate has passed a sanctions bill targeting Russia after more than a year of stalled efforts to push the legislation through. The bill was championed by Senator Lindsey Graham. It also includes sanctions on Iran. The vote ends months of legislative deadlock on the measure.
