Poland shuts down 3G network — check if your phone will still work

Polish mobile operators are shutting down their 3G networks, citing the technology as outdated and inefficient. Owners of older handsets may lose internet access and app functionality once the switch-off is complete. Plus network spokesman Piotr Szymanowski urged customers to check on elderly relatives who may be using older, incompatible devices.
