Polish Senate passes amendments tightening oversight of intelligence services
The Polish Senate passed amendments to the law governing oversight of surveillance activities by intelligence services. The amendments were put forward by Senator Adam Bodnar, who as former Ombudsman and Justice Minister had long advocated for stronger checks on the security services. The changes are aimed at increasing transparency and democratic accountability over operational activities.
