Traders drained millions from Polymarket using a five-second price manipulation trick

Traders exploited a vulnerability on the prediction market platform Polymarket, using brief artificial price spikes to drain millions of dollars from the platform. On-chain analysts had publicly warned of the loophole for months before action was taken. Polymarket is now moving to time-weighted average prices to make such manipulation too costly to execute.
