Michigan lifts salad warning as cyclospora outbreak fades

Michigan has declared its cyclospora outbreak to be waning, allowing residents to safely eat salads and leafy greens again. The state was at the centre of the largest cyclosporiasis outbreak in the US. The illness, spread via human feces, is rarely fatal but can cause severe dehydration leading to hospitalisation.
