US court orders government to restart wind project approvals

A US District Court in Oregon has ordered the federal government to restart the wind project approval process, which had been frozen since the Department of Defense stopped participating in a legally mandated radar interference review. The court ruled that DoD's national security arguments did not permit it to opt out of the legally required process. The ruling is a setback for the Trump administration's broader campaign to block both offshore and onshore wind development.
