Viagra may block cancer metastasis, study by Weizmann Institute finds
Scientists from Israel's Weizmann Institute and other research centres have found that sildenafil — the active ingredient in Viagra — can significantly reduce the ability of cancer cells to form metastases. The study opens a potential new oncological use for an already approved drug. Researchers say the findings could pave the way for supplementary cancer therapies.
