UCLA scientists learn to steer heat like light at room temperature

UCLA scientists have demonstrated for the first time that heat can travel through a crystal in focused, wave-like beams at room temperature rather than spreading randomly. The breakthrough could enable engineers to route heat away from sensitive components in next-generation chips and quantum devices.
