Leipzig airport drone may have been controlled via 5G from another country

The operator of the drone that caused an incident at Leipzig airport may have been located far from the scene — possibly outside Germany — according to German media reports. The drone was reportedly not a standard radio-controlled device but had been modified to use the 5G mobile network for control. This would explain why conventional detection methods failed to identify it.
