Solidarity union restarts petition for climate policy referendum after Senate veto

After the Senate again rejected President Nawrocki's referendum request on EU climate policy, the Solidarity trade union restarted collecting signatures for a citizens' referendum initiative on the same issue. Union leader Piotr Duda accused the Senate majority of spitting "in the face of the nation." The union argues that EU climate policy threatens the Polish economy.
