Drought exposes WWII German warships on the Danube as European river levels plunge

Extreme heat and drought have caused the Danube's water levels to fall so dramatically that the hulls of dozens of German World War II warships are re-emerging from the riverbed. In Romania, the remains of an ancient mammoth were also uncovered. Fishing boats are stranded on the Rhine in Germany, and sections of the Loire in France are partially dry.
