Fake Biedronka-branded dairy sold at Kyiv market — chain denies involvement

A Ukrainian consumer organisation raised the alarm after dairy products branded to resemble Biedronka were found at a Kyiv market. Lab tests revealed the butter and cheese contained large amounts of vegetable fats instead of dairy fats. Biedronka firmly denied any involvement, stating that the counterfeit goods were packed in the chain's old, discontinued packaging.
