Minister Pełczyńska-Nałęcz backs raising Poland's tax threshold and tax-free allowance

Minister Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz has said she takes seriously Finance Minister Andrzej Domański's proposals to raise the second income-tax bracket threshold and the tax-free allowance. She criticised the current tax system, pointing out that in November workers can receive up to a third less in their pay packet due to annual PIT settlement. The government is analysing the proposals but no concrete decision has been announced yet.
