Poland's parliament passes Personal Investment Accounts — not a wealth tax
Poland's Sejm and Senate have passed a law creating Personal Investment Accounts (OKI), designed to make saving and investing easier for citizens. Social media claims and some PiS politicians warned that the government was introducing a wealth tax, even though some of those same politicians voted in favour of the bill. The legislation now awaits the president's signature.
