Heatwaves trigger historically early grape harvest in France
French winegrowers, including those in the Bordeaux region, began harvesting grapes unusually early following a summer of successive heatwaves, drought and devastating wildfires. A grape-picker told the newspaper Sud Ouest that they would normally still be on vacation at this time of year. Despite the disruption, winemakers say the quality of the wine will not be affected.
