Google engineers build offline AI translator on Raspberry Pi 5 — files open to all
A team of Google engineers built a portable offline AI translator powered by the Gemma 4 E4B model running on a Raspberry Pi 5. The device features a touchscreen display, a push-to-talk button and a language-selection knob, all housed in a custom 3D-printed case. The source code and 3D printing files have been published on GitHub, allowing anyone to build their own.
