Colombia on the brink: ELN guerrillas prepare for war as new president takes office
Incoming Colombian president Abelardo de la Espriella has taken office vowing a new military offensive against leftist rebels. The ELN, Colombia's last active guerrilla group, is responding by mobilising fighters and preparing to return to open warfare. Reporters reached ELN commanders camped in jungle, hidden from enemy drones and readying their troops for combat.
