Widow's pension to rise in 2027 – ZUS second benefit share jumps from 15% to 25%

From 1 January 2027, Poland's widow's pension will increase as ZUS raises the share of the second benefit from 15% to 25%. Some senior citizens stand to gain up to several hundred zlotys more per month. However, a statutory cap on the total payout will remain in place, meaning the benefit increase will not be equal for all recipients.
