Slovakia sets heat record: 42.2°C recorded in Dolné Plachtince

Slovakia's hydrometeorological institute SHMU confirmed a new national temperature record of 42.2°C, measured in the southern town of Dolné Plachtince. The heatwave is also hitting transport on the Danube, disrupting river shipping.
