Meta ordered to pay $567 million over children's mental health harm

A New Mexico judge ruled that Meta created a "public nuisance" that damaged children's mental health and ordered the company to pay over $567 million in damages. Meta must also overhaul safety features on Facebook and Instagram. The ruling is one of the largest legal judgments against a social media company over harm to minors.
