Hungary ends voluntary energy saving measures from 7 August
Hungarian Prime Minister Péter Magyar announced that voluntary energy-saving restrictions will no longer be needed from 7 August. He thanked Hungarians for their cooperation during the period of restraint and signalled further reforms to the country's energy policy. The move marks the end of a phase of heightened appeals to reduce electricity consumption in Hungary.
