Anthropic to design custom chips to power its Claude AI models

Anthropic has announced it is building an internal "custom silicon team" to design chips dedicated to running its Claude AI models. The company posted job listings for engineers with semiconductor design experience. The plans were confirmed to both Business Insider and TechCrunch by an Anthropic spokesperson.
