EasyJet agrees £5.7bn takeover by US firm Apollo

Budget airline EasyJet has agreed to a £5.7bn takeover by US private equity firm Apollo. The deal came after a rival suitor dropped out of the running. Apollo is one of the world's largest private equity firms.
