Senate passes amendments to local government law, returns bill to Sejm

The Polish Senate unanimously passed three amendments to the revision of the Local Government Act, drafted by Civic Coalition MPs. The changes aim to harmonise regulations on passive electoral rights — the right to stand as a candidate in elections. The bill now returns to the Sejm for a final vote.
