Zbtlink routers shipped with hidden backdoor — firmware pulled after security disclosure

VulnCheck CTO Jacob Baines revealed that routers made by Chinese firm Zbtlink contain a built-in backdoor called ENDLESSDOORS, enabling remote root commands and reverse shells. Zbtlink denied malicious intent, describing it as an after-sales maintenance feature, but quietly pulled the vulnerable firmware and promised patches. Researchers advise replacing affected devices or treating the local network as untrusted.
