Tesla and SpaceX to invest $16.8B in 'Terafab' chip factory in Texas

Tesla and SpaceX have formally announced the construction of a massive chip factory called "Terafab" just north of Houston, Texas. The $16.8 billion project had been the subject of months of speculation before the companies made it official. The facility is intended to boost semiconductor manufacturing capacity for both companies.
