Heatwave drives Polish electricity prices to 1,800 PLN/MWh. Expert warns it will recur

A heatwave sent Polish electricity prices surging to as high as 1,800 PLN per MWh during evening peak hours. Fryderyk Karp of the Instrat Foundation warned that such episodes will occur more and more frequently. He called for building grid resilience through energy storage development and demand-flexibility mechanisms.
