Zakopane breaks record for most hot days in a year; daily temperature hits nearly 27°C

Zakopane has set an all-time record for the most hot days in a single year, with summer holidays not yet over. Poland's meteorological service IMGW reported that on Wednesday the town also logged a record daily temperature of nearly 27°C. The figures are unprecedented for this mountain region.
