EasyJet agrees to £5.7bn takeover by US firm Apollo

Budget airline EasyJet has agreed to a £5.7 billion takeover by US private equity firm Apollo. The deal was reached after a rival bidder dropped out of the race. EasyJet is one of Europe's largest low-cost carriers, operating millions of flights annually across the continent.
