Poland's KNF to approve full bank boards, not just CEOs
Poland's Senate passed without amendments a Banking Law amendment expanding the powers of the Financial Supervision Authority (KNF). Under the new rules, KNF approval will be required for the appointment of all management board members and supervisory board chairs at major banks — previously only CEOs required such approval. The bill now goes to the president for signature.
