Drying Rhine exposes sunken boat and centuries-old warning stones in Germany

A severe drought has caused the Rhine to drop so dramatically that a fishing boat sunk in the 1990s has re-emerged near Neuss, a city bordering Düsseldorf. The drying riverbed has also revealed historical objects left by past generations as warnings about the consequences of drought. The Rhine's low water level has already disrupted Germany's economy and tourism, while Hungary was forced to halt its nuclear plant due to water shortages.
