Polish Senate rejects president's bid for referendum on EU climate policy

The Polish Senate on Thursday rejected President Andrzej Duda's request to hold a nationwide referendum on EU climate policy. The vote was 32 in favour, 51 against and 1 abstention. The referendum will not take place following the Senate's decision.
