Occupational pesticide exposure raises ALS risk by 60 percent, study finds
A new study has found that occupational exposure to pesticides increases the risk of developing amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) by 60 percent. ALS is a progressive and incurable neurological disease. Those most at risk are workers who directly handle or apply pesticides.
