Polish banks earned 21.4 bn zloty in H1 2026 — down 8.4% year-on-year

Poland's banking sector posted a net profit of 21.37 billion zloty in the first half of 2026, a decline of 8.4% compared to the same period a year earlier, according to the National Bank of Poland. June alone contributed approximately 3.76 billion zloty in profit. The results remain high in absolute terms, though below last year's record levels.
