German Leopard 2 tank battalion transferred through Suwalki Gap to Lithuania

On the night of 26–27 July, around 60 vehicles from Germany's Panzerlehrbataillon 93 based in Munster, including Leopard 2 tanks and armoured vehicles, moved from the military training ground in Orzysz, Poland, to Lithuania. The convoy passed through the Suwalki Gap, a roughly 65 km-wide strategic land corridor between the Russian Kaliningrad exclave and Belarus. The move signals continued reinforcement of NATO's eastern flank.
