Warner Bros. Discovery Q2 profit slumps as streaming gains can't offset other losses

Warner Bros. Discovery reported a significant fall in net income in the second quarter, as growth at its streaming operations was more than offset by weaker NBA advertising revenue, a difficult movie release schedule and write-downs. The parent company of HBO, TNT and the Warner Bros. film studio continues to struggle with its legacy businesses despite streaming progress.
