New York surgeon convicted in Japan for vandalising ancient religious sites
Masahide Kanayama, a New York surgeon and endometriosis specialist, has been found guilty by a Japanese court of damaging ancient religious sites. He received an 18-month suspended sentence. The court convicted him of vandalising the historic sites.
