Nintendo profits surge 53% on Trump tariff refund
Nintendo reported a 53.5% profit surge to ¥147.4bn (£694m) for the quarter ending June, far exceeding analyst forecasts of ¥77.8bn. The jump was largely driven by a refund on Donald Trump's tariffs, though Nintendo did not disclose the exact amount. Despite the profit boost, the company's overall sales declined during the period.
