Will Poland's new Personal Investment Accounts actually get Poles investing regularly?

Personal Investment Accounts (OKI) represent one of the biggest changes to Poland's capital market in years. However, analyst Grzegorz Gawkowski of Bank Millennium's brokerage warns that most discussion focuses on the scheme's limitations — tax rules, preference for domestic assets and regulatory complexity. He argues the real test is whether OKI will actually persuade more Poles to invest regularly, as that is the factor that will determine whether the product succeeds or fails.
