Kwaśniewski warns Nawrocki could turn Poland into a quasi-presidential system
Former Polish president Aleksander Kwaśniewski warned in an interview with "Polityka" that Karol Nawrocki could exploit his constitutional power to appoint a prime minister of his own choosing. If Nawrocki manages to build a parliamentary majority for such a government, Poland would effectively become a quasi-presidential system. Kwaśniewski stressed that the constitution places no restrictions on the president's choice of prime minister beyond the Sejm's confidence vote.
