Poland's Education Ministry: 10,900 teacher vacancies, but no crisis

Deputy Education Minister Katarzyna Lubnauer reported that as of 29 July 2026, curators' databases showed 15,729 job offers and 10,895 vacant teaching posts in local government and ministerial schools across Poland. Lubnauer said the media exaggerated in reporting an "exceptionally difficult situation" regarding teacher shortages. She maintains the situation does not constitute a crisis.
