Incidents involving Ukrainians in Poland are fuelling growing mutual distrust

The initial wave of Polish solidarity with Ukrainian refugees has given way to growing distrust in parts of Polish society. Individual crimes and aggressive incidents involving Ukrainian nationals are being used to fuel political disputes and reinforce negative stereotypes. Analysts warn that isolated incidents are being generalised into hostility toward all Ukrainians in Poland.
