Polish grid operator activates emergency capacity market mechanism for 6 August evening

Polish transmission system operator PSE announced another capacity market call-up period on Thursday, 6 August, between 17:00 and 22:00. The measure is a response to weather-driven pressure on the national power grid during the ongoing heatwave. The capacity market mechanism is an emergency tool activated when there is a risk of insufficient power supply.
