Estonia and Finland weigh tunnel under Gulf of Finland — would be world's longest rail crossing

Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna described the proposed tunnel under the Gulf of Finland, linking Tallinn and Helsinki, as a "much-needed missing link" connecting two isolated areas. It is the clearest expression of support for the project in years. The tunnel would be the world's longest underwater rail crossing.
