First tiger in 70 years released into the wild in Kazakhstan

A female Amur tiger named Umit has been released into the wild in Kazakhstan as part of a programme to restore the species' population in Central Asia. Tigers were wiped out in the region around a century ago. The release marks the first tiger to roam Kazakhstan in approximately 70 years.
