Church Fund still exists after 2.5 years — Poland's coalition can't agree on abolition

Abolishing the Church Fund was an electoral promise of the Civic Coalition, but after more than two and a half years since a dedicated government working group was set up — led by the defence minister — negotiations with the Catholic Church have not even begun. No concrete outcomes have been reached. Frustration is growing within the coalition, particularly from the ministry of family, labour and social policy.
