Bank deposits top 90bn złoty as average interest rates stop falling
Polish bank deposits rose by over 2.6 million złoty in June compared to May, pushing total savings above 90 billion złoty, according to National Bank of Poland data. Significantly, the average interest rate on newly opened term deposits has stopped falling after a prolonged decline. The trend may encourage more savers to return to traditional bank deposit products.
